The Nine Elms driver poses for a photo a. Last Atlantic Coast Express |

| Amongst many things, I am the 'webmaster' for the Nine Elms website at http://www.nineelms.svsfilm.com and wondered if it might be possible to use a copy of the Nine Elms driver photo p39225983 on our website - do you know his name. I would of course add a credit line on the page stating copyright.
Best wishes, John McIvor |

| John, sorry if it's been a while since you posted your message. I am happy to send you any of my photos as jpegs provided you add a (c) N Thompson in the text. I have separate websites to promote the restoration of 34010 Sidmouth and 34053 Sir Keith Park by SLL of whom I am a supporter. If you can offer me any jpegs I'd be most grateful. |

| Hi Nick
A friend who works on the Talyllyn Railway has noticed that the photo of EDWARD THOMAS "at Dolgoch, about 1960" is actually at Tywyn Wharf.

| Hi Nick
Thanks for some great pics, of interest to me as an SR resident and because I now live near Woking! Very nostalgic.
Yes, JUBILEE was (one of) the standard gauge locos at Bowaters (which I also visited - in 1963). It was built by W G Bagnall as works number 2542 in 1936 and is currently preserved at the East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel & Wakes Colne, Essex.
Kind regards Keith Gunner 13/1/08

| Hi Keith, thanks for the comments. Hope you enjoying living in Woking; you won't be able to look out of your bedroom window and see a King Arthur across the street, will you? |

| This looks like Walton on Thames, train on up line to Waterloo. I lived in West Byfleet then Woking from 1963 to 1977. Travelled up to school in London by train from 1964 to 1972. Great memories, so thanks very much for these photos. |
